Tips & Tricks

  • If you have time, book a cooking class in Madrid making Paella or a selection of popular tapas – then enjoy your hard work with a glass or two of wine.
  • Make sure you book Alhambra tickets well in advance, as well as tickets to the Alcazar in Seville.
  • Bring your passport to the Alhambra along with your tickets, since they will verify that the name on your ID matches the name on the tickets.
  • Dinner in Spain is late by American standards (8pm, 9pm, or even later), make sure to plan your meals out so you can wait to eat later and enjoy the wonderful vibes of a lively restaurant or bar.
  • Recommended to plan out train times and purchase tickets in advance. You can guarantee a seat (especially if there are several people in your group) and fares are generally lower.
